Helen Jafari

A compassionate and gentle chair side manner is the hallmark of Dr. Helen Jafari's Family and Cosmetic Dental Practice. Dr. Jafari recognizes that each patient has unique needs, and it takes an individualized approach in order to meet them. While function, oral health, and comfort are the foundation for the standard of care she maintains, she believes that artistry plays an important role in achieving desired results. Her years of experience, aesthetic eye, and attention to detail are what give her the unique ability to accomplish this goal.
With the philosophy that a patient’s smile and oral health have great impact on quality of life, Dr. Jafari’s approach is one of collaboration with her patients, and she listens to make sure that the goals set will achieve the patient’s own vision. The relaxing environment of the office encourages open communication so that every individual’s questions are addressed thoroughly. Her associates, staff members, and lab partners are carefully selected and coached to embrace her philosophy of care for patients and uncompromising standards of quality.
Dr. Jafari's dedication to creating beautiful, functional, and healthy smiles has earned her a remarkable reputation. She regularly attends continuing education courses and strives to stay up to date and bring the very best of modern materials, technology and skills to her patients. Her most recent research has been regarding Sleep Apnea, and the unique ways that the dental field is positioned to help people with this condition. She completed her dental education in 1991 and continued for an additional two years residency in advanced education general dentistry at The University of Rochester in New York and Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Jafari lives in Bellaire with her husband, daughter, and Labradoodle Cole. In her free time she enjoys cooking with family and friends, traveling, hiking, and especially being a mom.
Valentina Coelho
DDS, MS
Dr. Valentina Coelho was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. She obtained her DDS degree in 2013 from the Universidad Santa Maria in Caracas, where she then began her career as a General Dentist in a private practice. She continued her advancement by becoming certified in Digital Smile Design from the Federacion Odontologica Colombiana in Botoga, Colombia. Her passion for comprehensive dental care and esthetics took her to Barcelona, Spain in 2014, where she worked in a private practice while pursuing her post-graduate residency in Prosthodontics at the Universidad Internacional de Catalunya (UIC). After more development in the private practice setting, she completed her education at the University of Michigan where she graduated at the top of her class with a Masters Degree in Prosthodontics.
Dr. Coelho moved to Houston, Texas in 2021, where she has been working as a Prosthodontist, utilizing her extensive studies to focus on treatment planning complex cases, complete oral rehabilitation, cosmetic dentistry and implant restoration.
Sarah Garza
DDS
Dr. Sarah Garza joined the team at Houstonian Dental in October 2023. A native Houstonian, Dr. Garza earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston in 2018. While in dental school, she was the Community Service coordinator for the American Student Dental Association. Dr. Garza coordinated several events providing dental education, services, and care to the underserved populations. Her heart for service led her to dental mission work both locally and abroad. She spent her spring breaks of dental school on mission trips to Guatemala, providing dental treatment to children and their families. Dr. Garza is passionate about continuing to be involved in the Houston community. Her favorite part of dentistry is connecting with the patients through a relaxing, comforting environment while creating beautiful healthy smiles.
In Dr. Garza’s free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young boys. They enjoy an active lifestyle, spending as much time outdoors as possible. Dr. Garza is excited to be working at Houstonian Dental to help patients obtain healthy and beautiful smiles!
